The origins of tap are varied. Americans claim it dates from the African Jazz age. The Irish stake their claim to the Jigs and Step Dancing. The English relate back to northern Clog Dancers. Tap is as popular today as it was in the heyday of the great Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly.

Our 4 year olds learn the skills to tap dance quickly. The pupils work through the grades and take examinations to support their training.
Busybodies is outstanding in training tap dancers for the stage, with past students in West End shows playing lead roles using their tap technique. Miss Nickie won many competitions for tap and was runner up at the Gold Star Awards London.
